TFD Extinguishes Two-story Structure Fire on Bates Drive

On April 23 at 9:37 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a possible structure fire located on Bates Drive. TFD arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from a two-story, multi-residential structure.

TFD crews quickly made entry into the structure and found fire on the first floor. The fire was primarily located in the kitchen area and had extended into the attic. TFD crews were able to get the fire under control and extinguished. TFD personnel searched the structure and found nobody inside the residence at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries on scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

TFD was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
